Glass Options, Flashing and Curbs
  • Velux uses Comfort glazing specifically designed for sloped use glass and a 83% fade protection and an earnest 50% gain in house humidity prior to condensation. Two glazing options are regular Comfort Glass with low-E coating or the ComfortPlus Glass with low-E extra laminated glass pane.
  • Velux flashings and curbs ensure weathertight installation of Velux roof windows and skylights. Flashings are available in aluminum or copper.
  • Flat and Shallow Pitched Roofs (0 to 15 degrees) use ECX/EMX Roof Curbs
  • With materials like asphalt or fiberglass shingles or shakes use EDL Step Flashing with pitches from 15 to 85 degrees.
  • Spanish tile materials require EDW High Profile Flashing on roof pitches from 15 to 85 degrees.
  • Metal roofing materials are best suited to use the EDM Metal Roof Flashing with pitches from 15 to 85 degrees.


Sunscreening Accessories and Controlers
  • Lightblock Shades can increase energy efficiency up to 20% with total blockage of light. Motorized controls raise or lower the shade.
  • Pleated Shades can can increase energy efficiency up to 12% with partial blockage of light. Motorized or manual controls can raise or lower this type of shade.
  • Venetian Blinds can increase energy efficiency up to 12% with partial blockage of light. Motorized or manual controls can raise or lower this type of shade.
  • Roller Shades provide filtered light and room darkening with a pull cord or optional cord pulley.
  • WLB 100 Optional Battery Backup will maintain enough power after a storm loss to operate the window.
  • ZCT 300 model 6 to 10 foot manual rod uses smooth turning operation on manual venting units and sunscreening.
  • ZCT 100 model 3 foot rod extension for extended reach.
